Living the words “Work today for a better tomorrow” and stay at home

Young NGOs Nasa akcija, in addition to their activities related to online teaching, spend their time planting fruits and vegetables, working on farms, gardens, orchards, houses and backyards. We live by the slogan “Work today for a better tomorrow”. To engage in such physical activities we stay healthy, we go out in the sun and clean air. A part of the young people are already working on the preparation of the eco center Muo house, in preparation for the new team of young people who will start coming in May. We invite young people to join us.

The first action of making installations for the Interreg project “WELCOME

Last weekend, young volunteers of the NGO Our action started an action of making art installations from collected natural and processed wood from the beach. Within the project “WELCOME” (WatER LandsCapes sustainability thrOught reuse of Marine littEr) which is financed through “Interreg IPA CBC Italy-Albania-Montenegro”, JU Morsko dobro announced in October 2019 a competition for the production of these art installations for which our organization won the third prize. The proposal of our young artists includes two installations – a crab and a jellyfish, which will be composed of natural materials without the use of nails or some other materials harmful to nature. After the construction, all installations within the project are planned to be placed on the dunes on Velika plaža and will serve as artistic protective constructions for the preservation of sand dunes. During this action day, one part of the team was in charge of procuring glue, wooden dowels and ropes, the other part of the team was working on the beach to gather the necessary material. The experience took the young people to one of the worst beaches in Montenegro, right to the right of the Lustica bay complex. After that, they started making installations that slowly began to form. We will not publish the results, ie the installations themselves, until the action of setting them up, on March 28, 2020.

NGO Our action part of the Youth council Kotor

NGO Nasa akcija continues to work at the level of youth policy in the municipality of Kotor. After integral work through the project “Education and activism for a more beautiful city and a better future” through which the Local Action Plan for Youth 2020-2021 was compiled, it was finally adopted in the Assembly last month. At the same time, our four-year initiative to open a youth club for young people in the Nautica area is finally being realized. In 2020, we are working hard to achieve the goals of the local action plan through the improvement of youth policy in Kotor, through work in the Youth Council, but also through three projects that have already been approved by international organizations and institutions. Online facebook informant “Info Center for Youth Kotor” will soon have an instagram form in order to inform young people about opportunities, opportunities and other forms of improving the needs of young people. We would like to take this opportunity to highlight our young volunteers who have shown themselves in the past year and contributed to Kotor through humanitarian actions to raise funds for sick children, children with disabilities and improving conditions in OS Njegos in Skaljari through the UpShift project. There are also numerous environmental activities that adorn their work and contribution to the community.

Walking tour Vrmac and Kotor winter carnival 2020

Volunteers of the NGO Our action spent a beautiful February sunny day in a wonderful walk and enjoying the winter carnival in Kotor. The tour started from the fortress Vrmac (one of the best preserved Austro-Hungarian fortifications in the Bay of Kotor, whose construction began in 1860, and got its current structure between 1894 and 1897) to the highest peak Saint Ilija at 765 meters above sea level. The tour lasted from 9 to 1 hour after which we went down to Kotor. For the first time this year we were not hired as volunteers, so this year we enjoyed the day and provided assistance to two groups in the realization of their masks. A wonderful day spent in nature and enjoying with this team.
