Black lake xtreem triathlon for xtreem organizers, xtreem competitors and even xtreem volunteers. NGO Our Action had the honor of being part of the organization of this event and support it with its young volunteers in absolutely crazy conditions, in the wind, icy rain, snow, low temperatures, darkness, fog, from 2:30 a.m. Saturday to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. In addition to the action and work, the young volunteers enjoyed the National park Durmitor, Black and Little Lakes, Sava Kuk and Saddle, and subsequently Djurdjevic Tara. We came home tired and exhausted but with incredible impressions, memories and filled with the positive energy of this incredible event. We can’t wait for next year

Youth Educational Camp Ponte Veslo 2019

Ponte Veslo Youth Educational Camp On Friday, September 13, until Sunday, September 15, NGO Our Action organized an educational camp for young people at the Ponte Veslo site. The aim of the camp was to encourage young people to develop tools through collaboration and teamwork, reflection on problems and solutions to project activities and how to improve actions, as well as organizational planning for the benefit of local communities. During the camp, young people were given interactive outdoor workshops that focused on marine pollution, ecology, what are green festivals, and conflict resolution. A coastal clearing action was held and olive trees were donated to a site that suffered the effects of a fire two years ago. Of course there were times for swimming, jumping, diving, enjoying the outdoors, sunrises and sunsets. The Highlight weekend was a kayak tour from Camp Vesla to Blue Cave on pretty difficult conditions. Humanitarian Music Evening for Jovan Cenic

On Wednesday, September 11, a charity music evening was held at Independence Square in Podgorica for little John Cenic, who needed funds to cure cerebral palsy. With a rich music program put together by our young volunteer Jana Raicevic, many townspeople joined in the dance and fun. Enjoyed by the little ones as well as the oldest, 634.69 Euros were collected. This is the third action organized by the NGO Our Action for Jovan in hopes of raising enough money to cure him.

Volunteer Support – Boka Sprint Triathlon

For the second year in a row, NGO Our Action provided volunteer support to the Boka sprint triathlon held in Perast on Sunday, 8th of September. Volunteers from a number of different cities got up in the very early morning hours to travel to the event and to support our partners from the Kotor Triathlon Club. This year, for the first time, our organization had a registered team of three members – Filip Drobnjak, Dejan Besovic who finished fourth in their category, and Slavo Bozovic who won first place. Congratulations to our participants on their success. Volunteers enjoyed the day in Perast, which of course include swimming, socializing and meeting new people. Our volunteers where lead by youth coordinator Dusan Vukadinovic.

Muo humanitarian dance night 2019

On Friday, August 30, the 5th humanitarian dance evening was held on the Muo waterfront. This year’s charity event, at the discretion of organizers Muo municipality and the NGO Our Action, was organized in honor of Jovan Cenic, a young boy who is the only person from Kotor on the Be Human Foundation list and who needs help treating cerebral palsy. 358 Euros were raised. The dance party brought together many citizens of all generations, Yugo-nostalgics and those who are not, but all enjoyed the performance of City band, the phenomenal Exodus group and flashmob dances of young volunteers, as well as a gourmet seafood pasta prepared by young volunteers. The sponsors of this event are TO Kotor and Rogo fruit doo. Through this activity, young people learned how to organize a humanitarian event and how important it is to help their fellow citizens. Thank you to everyone who contributed in any way to the success of this wonderful event. A special thank you goes to the Waste management company of Kotor, which mowed and washed the waterfront, and donated funds for the treatment of boys

Volunteer support for Bjelasica Ultra Trail event

On August 17, 2019, NGO Our Action, with its more experienced volunteers from Kotor and Podgorica, supported a new sports competition in Montenegro – Bjelasica Ultra Trail. This event was first held and organized by young people from this area. In our desire to continue our practice of supporting new organizations, new initiatives especially initiated by young people, we were able to gather a support team and give a contribution in the midst of a very busy season. To the organizers, every word of praise at this first Ultra Trail Globe is an event that will surely have its long-standing foothold in the offering of events in Kolasin. As for the volunteers of our action, we met new wonderful people, a new terrain, enjoyed the Kolasin and Bjelasica, the need to have a fireplace in the middle of August, homemade pancakes, kacamak and a general atmosphere. Road to the Moon Workshop, KFPD

As part of the Children’s Club of the Kotor Festival for Children’s Theater, an art workshop for the youth with the theme of the “Road to the Moon” festival was reflected. Youth flags were used to decorate the ramparts and spaces in the old town. Workshop “Snakes. Why you should not be afraid?”

As part of the Children volunteer club that is part of the Kotor children theater festival, youth coordinators of NGO Our action organized a workshop about snakes under the title “Snakes. Why you should not be afraid?”. Children from the festival had a chance to see a snake live, touch it and learn much about snakes, their lives and habitats, as well as types that live in Montenegro. as well as how useful and needed they are in the local ecosystems. Volunteer support X – Waters Montenegro

On Saturday, the 18thof May on the coast of Risan, the X-Water Montenegro competition was born. NGO Our action had the honor to be a part of this competition and help in the organization of this event. The competitor swam at a distance of 1 mile, 4.5 km and 7 km on from the area of Perast by the Island of Our Lady of the Rock to Risan with big currents, waves and rain, and very low water temperatures. Volunteers on kayaks and SUP boards also battled bad weather conditions with waves, wind, rain and cold. The second part of the volunteers conquered new registration procedures, refreshment table, pulling competitors out of the water and much more. The positive energy, euphoria and success was felt in the air especially on the finish line. This competition is also the first where volunteers where called on the stage and received a award. We will not forget this unforgettable experience. See you next year.

Volunteer support-Ocean Lava Montenegro 2019

From the 8th till the 12th of May, NGO Our action offered volunteer support for the fantastic Ocean Lava Montenegro triathlon held in Kotor. This is the fourth year in a row we are supporting this event full of splendid positive energy which for us has more than one dimension. As we are a NGO from Kotor supporting event that have such importance to our town is very important to us to not show of our town and it’s hospitality, but for guest to meet locals and make new and lasting friendships, and return for further competitions. Secondly it is of primary importance that our youth volunteers feel this energy, see how a well organized event is accomplished, how it is to work as a team, how people of various ages and with disabilities can do anything including competing, and much more. NGO Our action supported this event with 30 of their own volunteers from 8 different towns in Montenegro, and assisted in event organization and management of volunteers. We thank the organizers Marija and Igor Mayer on their unbelievable vision, work and dedication in continuously bringing fantastic events to Montenegro, and our town.
