Interview for DW Bosnia and Herzegovina

Although our project “Youth for a Clean Adriatic”, which has been officially supported by BeMed and the Prince Albert II Foundation of Monaco for the last three years, has been officially completed, we will continue to work on this project through self-financing or other donations. We believe that our sea deserves this project to remain sustainable. See you soon on a new action on the field.

By cleaning the coast, Bigova marked the International Day of Coast Cleaning! ?
.
The NGO Naša akcija together with a team of students from the Arcadia school and the locals of Bigova today marked the International Day of Cleaning the Coast of this small fishing village. With the team work of participants and locals who met for the first time, and enthusiastically cooperated, 40 bags of 120 liters of waste were collected, of course most of the plastic packaging, a total of 225 kg!
The International Clean Coast Day is organized by @ zero.waste.montenegro in cooperation with @nvo_nasa_akcija, and under the auspices of the EU Delegation to Montenegro, the Ministry of Ecology, Urbanism and Spatial Planning, the EU Info Center, Beyond Plastic, the MED Association and the Prince Albert II Foundation, through project “Youth for a clean Adriatic”. At the local level, as every year so far, the action is supported by the Tourist Organization of Kotor and the Utility Company Kotor.
“We thank everyone who came out to meet us and helped us to mark this day, and leave this wonderful place for swimming in a beautiful condition. We appeal to the Utility Company Kotor to return the container that was in this location until 2019 and thus perhaps motivate bathers and other visitors to dispose of waste at an appropriate location. ” says the Organizational Manager of the NGO Naša akcija Vuk Koljenšić.

Our action in the project “Ulcinj coast without plastic”

MSJA – Dr. Martin Schneider-Jacoby within the project “Ulcinj coast without plastic”, funded by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit – GIZ, organized a three-day event called “REuse_REduce_REcycle”, and consisted of presentations, workshops and exhibitions of sculptures .
The idea of the final activity on this project is the desire to together with beach tenants (Pacha Kitesurf Beach, Dolcinium Kitesurf Beach, Ka´banya Kitesurf Beach) draw the attention of all beach users to the impact of plastic on the environment with a focus on the coast, and to more actively involve all stakeholders to reduce the use of plastics in order to completely eliminate plastics and soon Ulcinj coast becomes Plastic free. The exhibition contains 6 sculptures and 4 installations created by young activists of the NGO Our Action with the active participation of MSJA volunteers and all participants in this event. The opening ceremony of the exhibition “Under the clear sky” was attended by the mayor of Ulcinj, Mr. Aleksnadar Dabovic, who also officially opened this exhibition, as well as representatives of the media and NGO sector and citizens who showed support for this project. The exhibits we set up at Pacha Surf Beach were already accompanied by the enthusiasm and participation of visitors on the day of the set-up. The sculptures will be on display at PachaSurf Beach until August 23, 2021.
Organization and activities in the three-day camp for young NGOs Our action is supported by the European endowment for democracy and Prince Albert II from Monaco / BeMed Foundation through the project “Youth for a Clean Adriatic”. Completed a series of workshops for making installations for KFPD

Through the final program of the project “Youth for a Clean Adriatic” funded by BeMed and the Prince Albert II Foundation of Monaco and under the auspices of the Municipality of Kotor, the NGO Naša akcija has held workshops to repair, make and set up installations for the Kotor Children’s Theater Festival. Using recyclable materials with a focus on plastics, young creatives had the opportunity to show off their skills and then ennoble public spaces with their installations. Particular interest was shown for a small open-air library and a plastic dress called “New Fashion”, because plastic seems to be the new fashion of this era. We invite all citizens to donate books for the small open-air library, which is currently located on the cinema market, and which will find its new, long-term location after the festival.

Completed eco documentary evenings for young people.

The NGO Naša akcija, as part of the Kotor Children’s Theater Festival, has organized screenings of open-air documentary environmental films for young people in the garden of the Cultural Center “Nikola Đurkovic” in Kotor. Screenings included films on the topic of plastic sea pollution and other topics relevant to this age, with subsequent discussion with speakers selected by the organizers. Eco film evenings are part of the Youth Stage that precedes the opening of the Kotor Children’s Theater Festival every year, and are supported by BeMed and the Prince Albert II Foundation of Monaco through the “Youth for a Clean Adriatic” project.
