Three organizations, NGO Our action, SUP4ME and Ne bacajte boce, in joint forces realized another coastal clean-up activity as part of our project “Youth for a clean Adriatic”. From primarily plastic waste the coast of the island of flowers and the island of Saint Marco where cleared using SUP boards for transportation. All activities of the project “Youth for a clean Adriatic” where realized under the financial support of Beyond plastic Med and the foundation of Prince Albert II of Monaco. The last of the workshops for the children volunteer club as part of the 27th Kotor festival for children was held on the 12th of jun, and was dedicated to the protection of the sea from pollution. Children participated in the Havaiian water ceremony for the protection of the sea, wrote messages onto leaves and let them into the water. Some of the messages “Stop polluting”, “Stop plastic in the sea”, “The sea is our life”, decorated many leaves and showed the hopes of children for a plastic free ocean. After the ceremony the children visited the Dragon spitting plastic installation with the youth educators from NGO Our action. This educational activity was part of the project “Youth for a clean Adriatic” financed by Beyond plastic Med and the foundation of Prince Albert II of Monaco.

Well, small but valuable group of young NGOs Our action yesterday cleared Gurdic of waste and plastics and cleared lower levels of vegetation from the ramparts. The action has been made on our popular SUP plastic bottle bottles that anyone can make and thus recycle plastic bottles and give them another purpose. The activity is part of the “Young for the Clean Adriatic” project supported by Beyond plastic Med and the Prince Albert II Foundation of Monaco. Volunteers from the Kotor Festival of Children’s Theater and the NGO Our Action realized a youth working weekend for the design of the space for the upcoming festival. During this two-day activity, the following activities were accomplished: 1. cleaning the workshop, 2. arranging a small info office, 3. arranging and cleaning Nautical workshops for children and children, 4. cleaning and arranging yards for visiting theater and youth, 5. flooded ramparts , 6. planted plants, 7. marketing cavalry set up, 8. banners set up, 9. Fish installation repaired and installed, 10. washed 240 of the 560 chairs used for Kotor Art (the rest will be finished), 11. water donations transferred . We thank all the young people for their hard work and hard work in this action. We also thank Waste management company of Kotor for the expeditious waste relationship we created during the action. On June 9, 2019, NGO Our Action celebrated World Environment Day as well as World Ocean Day with environmental action in Tivat / Herceg Novi Municipality. This action is the third activity in the “Young for a clean Adriatic” project sponsored by Beyond plastic Med and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. The action was joined by young people from the organization “Do not throw bottles” from Herceg Novi and other citizens. 30 volunteers collected 180 bags of waste into 120L bags, mostly plastic bottles, shoes, styrofoam, and other plastic bottles and materials, from one beach only. On Saturday, the 20th of April 2019 in honor of Earth day, NGO Our action organized a coastal and bay clean-up event in the town of Kotor. The action included the are from the main police station to the main beach, all rain water channels going into the sea that are full of plastic, the river Skurda and well of Gurdic. In the project youth of the north of Montenegro, from NGO Euromost where included in order to raise awareness and participate in the clean-up. Other local partner organizations where: NGO Koltrina, the Cultural center “Nikola Djurkovic”, the tourist company of Kotor, the Kotor children’s festival, mountaineering club Vjeverica, and the Triathlon club Kotor. Assisting us in the activity was the Waste management company of Kotor, Kotor bay company with kayaks, and Rogan fruit with food and refreshments. The activity was partially funded by the JU Morsko dobro and partially by the BeMed foundation thru the project “Youth for a clean Adriatic”. This is the second clean-up activity within the project. The goal is an active, participative approach to raising awareness for a plastic free Mediterranean sea. 120 bags of trash was collected including fishing gear and netting, plastic and wooden beach furniture, and much more. On sunday, the 23rd of march youth volunteers from “Euromost”, from the towns of Plav, Gusinje and NGO Our aciton with volunteers from Kotor, Cetinje Podgorice and Niksic commemorated World Water Day with a ecological clean-up action on the banks of the river Lim in Plav. We wanted to contribute to this local community and show how youth in a joint efford can contribute to a cleaner environment. Following the work activity volunteers visited lake Plav and the Alipasa wells where we had lunch together. The activity was supproted by the Retirement home Bijelo polje, Tourist agency Plav, Fishing organization Plav and our partners NGO Euromost. This activity was the first activity of the BeMed funded project “Youth for a clean Adritic”.
