On Friday, in the premises of our organization in Podgorica, we had the opportunity to talk in English with @keallojoshua. The topics were diverse: from college, life in Montenegro to zodiac signs! Since the interest in #englishclass is great, this month we will organize another meeting of the same format, so follow us and come to chat!
NGO Our action at the 12th eco colony in the Blidinje Nature Park. Last weekend, the young NGO Naša akcija joined their partners the Eco ZH Association in the Blidinje Nature Park at the 12th eco colony, which is financially supported by the American Embassy in Sarajevo. The colony gathered 60 young people from the surrounding countries, who focused their artwork on the landscape of Blidinje. Artists leave their works for auctions, and the money raised from the paintings supports an institution for neglected children in Široki Brijeg, BiH. The art colony also included an ecological cleaning action. NGO Naša akcija held an expert lecture on the use of various arts for environmental activism. In addition to project activities, young members managed to climb to Hajduk Gate. At the foot of the hiking trail, they came across the sign PSD Vilinac on which it is written that (whoever is able) take part of the material for the renovation of the only source of drinking water to the mountain lodge, which is never a problem for our young volunteers! The young team decided to take everything that was, and thus contribute in another way to this local community. The NGO Naša akcija financed part of its journey through the European Endowment for Democracy funds.
A workshop on human rights was held in Kotor on Friday, June 18. Young members of the NGO Naša akcija as well as young people from the Youth Team Tivat had the opportunity to listen to the lawyer, Council of Europe expert for freedom of expression Siniša Gazivoda. Mr. Gazivoda has a master’s degree in human rights and is currently pursuing a doctorate in EU law. The focus of this workshop is the education of young people in this field and it is realized through the support of the European endowment for democracy.
Today we renewed the sundial that was made back in 2015 in the yard of the elementary school “21. maj” Podgorica in Durres! We refreshed it with new, bright colors, decorated the tree with new leaves, all with the help of the wonderful teacher Dejana Trifunović and our volunteers Hristina, Tee, Kellyn and Nadja. May 1st for NGO Our action is another day to help others and nature. This time again on the field with the Association of Gorica Lovers in pulling out dried trees for fire protection on the roundabout to the right of the monument. Whenever they have free time, sincerely dedicated volunteers are happy to help others. This activity and support in Gorica is part of our program “Nature for the physical and mental health of young people” with the support of the European endowment for democracy.
